We want this website — and, as far as an 1860s townhouse allows, the house itself — to work for as many people as possible. Here is where we stand, plainly.
The website
We aim to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA standard, and we have built the site with that in mind rather than bolted accessibility on afterwards.
- The pages use proper headings and landmarks, so a screen reader can move through them in a sensible order.
- Everything works by keyboard, and the element you are on shows a clear focus outline.
- Text contrast meets the AA threshold, and the layout reflows cleanly when you zoom in or use a phone.
- If you prefer less movement, we honour your system's reduced-motion setting and drop the animations.
- Links are written to make sense out of context, and images that carry meaning have text alternatives.
The building
Honesty serves you better than optimism here. Llety Bodfor is a tall Victorian townhouse, and that brings stairs — the staircase is original and fairly narrow. We have ground-floor rooms that avoid the stairs altogether, and we will always try to match the right room to what you need. There is no lift.
If you have specific requirements — step-free access, a particular bed height, a visual or hearing need, a place for an assistance dog — tell us before you book and we will give you a straight answer about what we can and cannot manage. We would much rather have that conversation early than disappoint you on the day.
Known limitations
A little content comes from third parties — web fonts, and any map we embed — and we cannot fully control how assistive technology treats it. Where we rely on such a service, we choose the most accessible option we reasonably can.
Need something in another format, or found a problem?
If any part of this site is hard to use, or you would like information in a different format — large print, a phone call instead of a form — we will sort it. The fastest way is to contact us by phone or email, and one of us will help.
We review this statement when we change the site, and at least once a year. It was last checked on the date below.
