Cookies are small files a website leaves on your device. This page sets out the few we use, what they do, and how to switch them off — written so you can actually make a decision.
The short version
Llety Bodfor is a simple, mostly static website. We do not run advertising, we do not follow you around the internet, and we set nothing on your device that isn't either essential or clearly explained below. If you do nothing, you get only the cookies the site needs to function.
What we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consent preference | Remembers your choice about optional cookies so we don't ask on every page. | Strictly necessary | 6 months |
| Session / security | Keeps the site working and guards against misuse while you browse. | Strictly necessary | Session |
| Analytics (optional) | If you allow it, a privacy-minded count of which pages are read, so we can improve the slow ones. No personal profiles. | Optional · consent | Up to 13 months |
Strictly necessary cookies don't need consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, because the site cannot do its job without them. Anything optional stays off until you say yes.
Cookies set by others
Two third parties are worth naming honestly. Our typefaces are delivered by Google Fonts, which means Google's servers see a request from your browser when a page loads. If a map is ever embedded, the map provider may set its own cookies once you interact with it. We keep this kind of thing to a minimum on purpose.
Turning cookies off
You are in charge here. Every browser lets you block or delete cookies, usually under Settings → Privacy. Bear in mind that blocking the essential ones may break parts of the site. For a plain-language walkthrough, the regulator's own guidance at the Information Commissioner's Office is the best place to start.
How cookies relate to your wider personal data — what we collect when you book, and your rights over it — is covered in our privacy policy. Questions about either are welcome; just get in touch.
Updates
If we add or remove a cookie, this table changes and so does the date below.
